Many students today tend to avoid asking questions to their own teachers due to fear that they are disturbing them or simply lacking the courage to ask. Misconceptions persist as a result.
Some students private message questions to teachers individually when not confident enough to ask in front of classmates, and thus they learn individually instead of as a class, reducing peer-learning.

Educating.sg allows questions to be asked to ones own teacher anonymously—a key feature of the platform that enables students to ask with ease. Q&A will be visible to all classmates, enhancing peer-learning.

A teacher simply has to sign up for an account and share her username with her students for them to locate her profile where they can send questions, with the option to do so anonymously.
========================

The platform intends for students to ask questions to *their own teachers* who are highly qualified and know their students best, unlike other platforms where questions can be answered by anyone from the general public.
Over time, the platform will become a repository of explanations to common misconceptions which all can refer to.

*NOTE: Login regularly to check for new questions/answers. Specific push-notifications for them are not possible yet. E-mail notifications can be enabled in settings.*

Educating.sg was founded by 16-year-old Aalden Tnay with Makoto Fujimoto and Stephen Landaas.
